Greer's Riverside side is still moving faster than the rest
Rates crossed 7% again. Realtor.com reported that in September 2026, mortgage rates climbed above 7% for the first time since January 2025. That matters for every buyer's monthly payment. But it does not tell the whole story for every part of Greer.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted numbers for the three months ending August 31, 2026, across three ZIP codes in this market. The Hwy 14/Pelham side, ZIP 29650, read differently from the rest. Here is what the data shows.
The Riverside side: ZIP 29650 (Hwy 14/Pelham corridor)
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 136 homes sold in ZIP 29650 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That was up 3% from the same months in 2025. Sales grew here while they fell in both other ZIP codes. Pending sales rose 3.6% year over year too. That is the direction most of this market is not going.
Nearly 4 in 10 homes in ZIP 29650 went under contract within two weeks of listing, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Pricing and condition still drive that. Overpriced homes do not get that result. But the pool of buyers near Riverside schools and the Pelham corridor is still active.
Sellers in ZIP 29650 got 98.2% of their list price on average, per the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That is nearly full ask. It slipped 0.4 points from a year ago, so it is not identical to last year. But it is close.
The rest of Greer: ZIP 29651
ZIP 29651 covers a much larger part of Greer. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 245 homes sold there in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That sounds like a lot, but it was down 18.3% from the same period in 2025. Pending sales fell 15.5% year over year. Days on market sat at 66, which was 6 days longer than a year ago.
Prices in ZIP 29651 are up 10.3% year over year, per the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That is real appreciation. But fewer homes are selling, and they are sitting longer. Only about 1 in 4 went under contract within two weeks. That gap from ZIP 29650's 38.7% is meaningful.
Taylors: ZIP 29687
Taylors is its own place. Taylors Mill, a century-old textile works turned artist studios, arcade lounge and print shops, draws people who never find it from Wade Hampton Blvd. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 173 homes sold in ZIP 29687 in the three months ending August 31, 2026, down 11.3% from 2025.
Taylors moved fast. Median days on market was 53, per the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That is actually one day quicker than ZIP 29650. But the median sale price fell 4.3% year over year. Speed and price are not always moving the same direction. Worth knowing if you are pricing here.

What rates above 7% mean for all three
Realtor.com reported that rates climbed above 7% in September 2026 for the first time since January 2025. Nationally, Realtor.com also reported that price cuts hit 20.8% of listings in September, the highest share since October 2022. That is the backdrop every seller here is working against.
CNBC reported that a monthly payment on a median-priced home took roughly 33% of a median family's income in 2025, up from 26% in 2022. Buyers feel that. It is part of why pricing carefully matters more now than it did two years ago.
ZIP 29650 has held up better than most of this market. But 14.7% of homes there still sold above list price, per the Real Estate Data Aggregator. That is down 2 points from a year ago. The buyers are still there. They are just a little more careful about what they will pay.
